STEAM

At Koroit and District Primary School, we are proud to offer a rich and engaging STEAM program—integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics into meaningful learning experiences.

Every student at KDPS takes part in our STEAM curriculum, which encourages:

  • Creative problem-solving
  • Hands-on exploration
  • Critical thinking and innovation
  • Collaboration across subjects

Our STEAM lessons are designed to spark curiosity and build future-ready skills by connecting learning to real-world challenges and opportunities.

STEAM@ KPDS

Our STEAM curriculum engages students in real-world exploration and application through inquiry-based science learning and visual arts experiences. We encourage our students to imagine and innovate for a safe and sustainable future with a strong focus on environmental education. Students are encouraged to express themselves through many mediums and with various materials in our well-equipped STEAM room. This setting provides the perfect base for our adventures that often take us on local explorations of the outdoors, around our school grounds, to Tower Hill or a local beach. We also recognise the importance of connecting and engaging with the community, giving our students many opportunities to participate in events such as Kids Teaching Kids, Marine Debris Action Day, and South West TAFE’s MakerFest.
