Foundation Transition Program
During term 2 our Foundation teachers will visit the Koroit and District Kindergarten to get to know the children in their kindergarten environment. Our teachers will participate in kinder activities, read stories, sing and dance with your children to begin building a relationship.
During term 3 Koroit and District Kindergarten educators and 4 year kinder students will visit Koroit and District Primary School and participate in our extended curriculum program (specialist program) including – Kitchen/Garden, Performing Arts, Physical Education and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics).
The children enjoy these interactive sessions and get to know a variety of different teachers and become more familiar with our school environment.
During term 4, children who are enrolled at Koroit and District Primary School participate in a 6 week transition program (one afternoon per week), then a half day session to support connections and familiarity with school life.
We will also engage Foundation parents in an ‘Introduction to school life’ interactive session on the final transition morning.
